I love working lace in the round, because you don’t have to worry about what’s going on with the wrong side of your work - you’re always working on the right side!

This pattern is great for beginner lace knitting, because you always see the right side of your work, and the simple lace pattern works in a predictable manner. It also does not require blocking, so if you like lace without wanting to block it, this is the scarf for you!

There are a wide range of sizing options, from the 23” cowl that sits right at your collar bone, all the way to a 68” massive scarf that wraps 3 times around your neck.

Because of the lack of blocking, this scarf does stretch beyond it’s usual measurements, which are taken un-stretched. I am able to wrap the 38” size around my neck twice with stretching, but it doesn’t sit to long on my body because when it’s not wrapped it gets back to the normal 38” size. It’s fantastic!

If you simply want to start making the pattern without checking gauge (as some do), each pattern repeat is 7.5” wide. It’s very difficult to check the height in the lace pattern, so I included the stockinette sizing for a swatch.
